As far as I know, there was only one novel (Sou no Kizuna) and it takes place between episodes 13 and 14 or so in the series. Also, there was never a manga to my knowledge. Have a look at the Legacy section on Wikipedia's article – I have a copy of each of those (and essentially wrote that section). According to a Japanese friend, those are the only other components of the FF:U franchise.
I really ought to make a point of translating the After fragments and put them all nicely together on a site or something. But yeah, what would really make my day is a continuation of the anime.

one site had before and after translated but they were long since deleted
For any one confused for what this is, it's based on the scrapped second half of the anime or the After books. Dolk-Soljashy is at the bottom, Herba's in her Princess attire with Prince Yu, Makenshi is still shirtless atter that fatal stab, etc.
Oh what could have been, remember to spit at Spirits Within for severing an extremely underrated anime and getting Xenogears 2 cancelled. The concept art had a better look to it though.
This picture is actually one of the quoted picture for the 'Hammerspace' trope entry, where the origins was City Hunter series where Kaori often pulls out huge hammers from nowhere.
Considering the artist did the seiyuu joke of Firefly/Makima and Sparkle/Reze, should this tagged with CSM, Reze and Makima? Or at least their seiyuus?
