An article of clothing with an inverted "T"-shaped back, revealing the wearer's bare shoulders and shoulder blades. Some styles may resemble an "X"-shape with rounded corners, but this should not be confused with criss-cross back-straps.
Typically used for sportswear, especially competition swimsuits and sports bikinis, because the cut allows for more flexibility and movement of the arms.
Not to be confused with the back cutout commonly seen on competition swimsuits. Competition swimsuits often have a racerback above a back cutout, but the cutout itself is not the racerback.
