Java sparrow (P. oryzivora)
Edit
A small bird native to Indonesia that has been introduced to several other regions worldwide. Kept as a pet in Japan since the Edo period, it was selectively bred to create the white java sparrow among other color mutations.
Despite its common English name, it is actually an estrildid finch rather than a true sparrow.
