I never got why Disney never capitalized on Reylo. It could have been a parallel to Padme and Anakin because how Kylo asked her to rule by his side. Two Force users ruling together by the end of episode 9.

"You come from nothing. You're nothing. But not to me." It clearly upset Rey to have such an origin, but he no longer cared about hers. She challenged his conviction that you have to come from something to be someone, but that is because he grew up with that mentality. He was the nephew of the last Jedi, and Snoke wanted him only because he was Vader's heir. Other than that, he is "nothing." Kylo values himself only for his family origins. If Rey's origins don't matter to him, maybe his origins don't have to be the source of his value either.

His statement to Rey was more so directed at himself. That’s the message he's received all along. He was nothing, and he's lashing out at Rey because of how he feels inside.

One could fill in an awful lot in that sentence. The sequels had no long term plan, or if they did Rian Johnson up ended it with Last Jedi. Disney had no idea how to course correct, panicked, and it's been a series of increasingly poor decisions ever since.

I have heard rumours that Georges Lucas had projects for a new trilogy. According to these rumours, the new trilogy would be about Luke discovering the midichlorians and, in reaction to that discovery, have a massive crisis of faith.
Disney threw everything in the garbage bin because "fans" disliked the medichlorians and Disney just wanted money without headaches, so instead of asking true questions that might've gave fans an answer to rejoin the realistic aspect of the mediphosphates and the mystical aspect of the Force, Disney instead pussied out, pretended that the prelogy never happened, and actually retconned the Jedis into being arrogant losers.

I don't know if the rumours are true, but I really would've loved some debates on the difference between miniphosphorus and the Force, because King Kong Hill suggest that having more medibosphores makes one more receptive to the Force, but Anakin isn't that powerful, he still gets his ass kicked plenty of times.

Sorry about that, I'm just a bit passionate about Star Wars and beside Rogue One and the Mandalorean, there's not much to save in Disney's fanfics. They mostly just rehashed the original movies, contradict themselves, make no sense whatsoever, and are so clumsy with the political messages that the movies end up more offending than anything.
Like Finn, who is a black stormtrooper. And yet all his knowledge of imperial bases come from mopping the floor in them. How progressive.
