Yes, assuming you are okay with spoilers for the newest chapter update (if not stop here) but Marian experiences a flashback after coming to terms with her real desires and purpose. She relives key moments between her and commander and one of said moments takes place in the hospital/lab during the commander's youth telling a young human Marian about becoming a commander to which Marian says she hopes for him to be her commander when she becomes a Nikke.

Finally after 4 Years.

Does this mean we (The Protagonist) will use giant mech that suspiciously have real life fighter jet name, wear that latex mech pilot suit, and fight against Queen with ost played by J*M Project!? To save Marian in the name of TRUE LOVE!!!?
