the artist said, "honestly, just some random generic characters I made up!" when someone asked them about the plushies, so I am removing the character and copyright request tags. I think this image is finally done with tagging
I just realized something about RWBY Danbooru, every tag that each girls have for their weapons, crescent rose, myrtenaster and ember celica (rwby) has their own weapon descriptions in their wiki.
But Blake's weapon is so complicated, that her's, gambol shroud, is entirely empty.
These redesigns keep becoming more defined, and closer to modern archetypes. Malfoy's the Stacy tsundere, Potter's more and more of a stereotypical chad-emo/dark academia protag, and Snape's the huge "goth mommy".
30k was at the very start of 2026, so it focused on 2025 data. This post covers the first 9 months of 2026. As usual, I'm interested in the rankings of yuri uploaders, who is posting more and who is posting less. The rankings are as follows:
The interesting development here is that every year there are more big yuriposters who are closer together in post counts, and the rankings become more volatile. In 2024 and early 2025, the top there were very consistent: me, ANON TOKYO, hasu no hassennen. In late 2025, third place became less consistent. Now, in 2026, ANON TOKYO has also had trouble maintaining his second place position, less because he is posting less, and more because a couple other users have reached similar levels of consistent yuriposting.
Particularly notable to me was the rise of Blue Stuff, an ancient and venerable yuriposter who has returned to posting regularly on danbooru after years away. Back in 2024 when I was just starting down this rabbit hole and wasn't even the #1 yuriposter on the site, Blue Stuff was the #4 all-time yuriposter, and the first three were just overall very prolific posters, e.g. Unbreakable and Doragonn. What summoned Blue Stuff from the dead? Cho_kaguya-Hime!, of course. That is the other major story of 2026. See the following table:
Cho_kaguya-Hime! came out of nowhere and topped the chart by a mile, surprising no one who was paying any attention. CPK was definitely as much a phenomenon on the site as it was in Japanese theatres, getting uploaded mainly by ANON TOKYO and Blue Stuff, as well as hasu no hassennen in February and March. Bang Dream! It's Mygo!!!!! fell off a bit since Ave Mujica ended. Touhou's continuing resurgence is of course thanks to Alixiron. Another interesting change is the revival of Genshin Impact, which had been losing to new Mihoyo IPs in recent years. Genshin Impact owes almost all of this recent success to the immense popularity of Sandrone (Genshin Impact) and Columbina (Genshin Impact). Mahou Shoujo No Majo Saiban was carried mostly by GreenRockWater.
Clearly, I was not unaffected from the CPK mind virus, though to a lesser extent than some others. Shuuniichido Classmate Wo Kau Hanashi and Kamiina Botan Yoeru Sugata Wa Yuri No Hana are the ones that are the most unique to me, as they have few other dedicated uploaders. Kamiina Botan Yoeru Sugata Wa Yuri No Hana just aired this year, and was very successful (go watch it NOW), so there was a ton of fanart to get uploaded, but unfortunately it will almost definitely decline over time as people move on. Shuuniichido Classmate Wo Kau Hanashi is remarkably big for a light novel, I can't think of any other LNs that have thousands of posts (there is a manga, but it's much less popular than the actual LN itself). I expect/hope it to keep getting more popular. Suletta Mercury/Miorine Rembran continues to have staying power.
I have now uploaded close to 12% of danbooru's yuri. I am #1 in all-time post count, followed by ANON TOKYO (around 15k). Third place has just recently been snatched by Blue Stuff from Krugger, both around 6.5k. hasu no hassennen (currently 4.5k) will take 4th place eventually.
That's how she usually speaks. I'm guessing that part of her character was left out of the global release.
Sadly it seems rare for third person speak to be retained when localizing, neither her or Mayano speak like that in the global version (text) even when you literally hear them say it.
You might never read this, but I admire and love your work; I love how you draw Youmu and Yuyuko—I love your drawings. I would love to be able to write this in Japanese, but writing in English is mandatory here. ❤️

If you write it in the source tweet the artist is more likely to see it
