yaoi paddle
A staple of 2000's anime conventions, a wooden paddle which had yaoi terms (uke, seme, just yaoi, or even yuri) written on it.
These paddles were used as cosplay props or to spank other attendees, which wasn't always consensual. These nonconsensual spankings brought the yaoi paddles to infamy, which resulted in bans and their consequent fading out.
