freudian switch
A specific variation of freudian slip where the person switches what they're thinking with what they intended to say, usually resulting in them openly blurting out affection or irritation when they were trying to be more neutral.
A further variant has the other person acknowledge the switch by saying "I think your thought and speech bubbles are mixed up".
