forked arrow

An arrow with a two-pronged U-shaped forked arrowhead.

Commonly seen in the form of a Karimata (雁股), a Japanese arrowhead designed to cut rather than pierce and is usually used in Yabusame where it is attached to the bulb of a whistling arrow.
