dismissive gesture
This gesture involves waving their hand outward, begun with the palm facing toward the body, then facing toward the object or person being dismissed. It is similar to brushing something aside. It is used to signal dismissal or rejection, convey impatience or disdain, and is essentially a nonverbal expression of "go away."
Should not be confused with waving.
