bookman

Also nicknamed "Panda Geezer" (Panda Jiji in Japanese) by Lavi, Bookman is the Master of Lavi, an Exorcist and a Bookman from the Bookman Clan.

Bookman is a short old man, with medium length white hair that he wears in a ponytail. He has wrinkles on his face and wears black eyeshadows around his eyes, as well as floating earrings and a version of the Black_Order_Uniform.

Bookman doesn't have any name himself. Which is why he simply goes by "Bookman". As a Bookman, it is his duty to record the secret history of the world so it remains preserved. While he is an Exorcist, he makes a point about maintaining neutrality, claiming that he and Lavi have only became Exorcists because it helps in their duty to record knowledge and believes a Bookman shouldn't have attachments because "A Bookman has no need for a heart".

Bookman's Innocence is an Equipment type called Heaven's Compass, when activated, it allows him to fire barrages of Needles that can immobilize and destroy Akuma. He can also use the Needles for protection and to make stepping steps on air.
