ace combat 8

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is a game in the Ace Combat series released on October 1, 2026. Bridging the events of Ace Combat 7 and Ace Combat 3, the story focuses on a massive conflict between the Federation of Central Usea, still recovering from the devastating events of the Lighthouse War, and the Republic of Sotoa, which has launched a full-scale and brutal invasion in the hopes of claiming Usea as a new homeland after their original lands suffered severe desertification. The player, Rex, is put in charge of the FCU Navy's Joker Flight following the shootdown and death of the previous pilot to hold the callsign, and tasked with becoming a symbol for the continent to rally around while fending off the encroaching Sotoans and their spearheading land battleships, orbital weapons platforms, and elite ace pilots.
