Vihta is a Finnish word for a bunch of silver birch twigs bound together in a bouquet- or fan-like shape. Used in a sauna, hitting oneself with it acts as a form of massage, and also serves to clean the skin.

Sometimes used to symbolize Finland, or indicate a Finnish character or association (for example, post #694434)
