Hiroshi Tsukuba is severely wounded by a mutant monster of the organization Neo-Shocker. A kidnapped scientist convinces his captors that he can make Tsukuba of use to them by surgically altering him into their cyborg slave. With the intention of turning against Neo-Shocker, the scientist uses this chance to save Tsukuba's life, turning him into Kamen Rider.
Originally known as just Kamen Rider, he was later given the name "Skyrider" by his predecessors to avoid confusion with Kamen Rider 1 and Kamen Rider 2.
Skyrider is mostly bright green in color with a brown chestplate and the first rider capable of flight.
