Small metal fasteners used to permanently join, reinforce, or decorate pieces of material. On clothing, rivets are commonly used to reinforce seams, attachment points, or for decoration, while on armor they are used to secure metal plates and other components together. They can also be used to permanently join separate metal elements in various objects and structures.
