Low-cut, dressy high heels that leave the top of the foot and ankle bare, without any lacing besides a potential ankle strap.
In particular the term is used for a medium-heeled to sensible high-heeled variant, in contrast to stiletto heels.
Commonly worn by office ladies, pop idols, and characters wearing a qipao.
