A large donut franchise. Once an American icon, the franchise now operates mainly in Japan and other Asian markets.
Is no longer active in United States after the American branch of Mister Donut was bought out by Dunkin' Donuts in 1990, with many former Mister Donut stores were either closed, converted into Dunkin' Donuts stores or some changed their name to Donut Connection that serves the original American menu of Mister Donut. Only one store that still uses the Mister Donut name exist in Godfrey, Illinois where it has become a popular destination for Japanese tourists as the last original American Mister Donut store.
