High heels with a tall and thick block-shaped heel. The heel thickness mostly doesn't taper to the bottom and can even increase in size, giving the wearer a lot more walking support.
Not to be confused with low block heels, which aren't considered high heels, or with platform shoes, which are thick along the entire sole.
