I like this one, Eirin here doesn't look like she will go Mengele on you, and Yuuka doesn't looe like she gonna cut your dick off, then Yuyuko and Byakuren's facial expressions are just to my liking.

God I am a slow tagger ><

But at least you bother to tag everything.

Ran's looking pissed about something...

Thanks and I think Ran is still a little bitter over this

Maybe she's pissed off because she's being included with the old ladies.

nah she just want to be cool

This party is no good, too imba and why the hell Yuuka looks so small?

I always concern about Yuuka's height, she seems to be drawn short in many artwork, like, just a little bit taller than Remilia. >_>

Best picture of this very pool! =)

this is no Old Maids alliance. This is Boobs of steel, sadly, they are missing many.

How else do you explain Yuka, Ran and Yuugi?

"Pictures that group together at least three of the Old Maids: a group of Touhou characters who possess an aura of maturity, possibility from being many centuries old."

The pics don't necessarily have to only contain the OMA women.

You can't make a Boobs of Steel image and forget Komachi. That's why this is more of an elder gathering than anything.

Yuuka is already included sometimes. Not as often as the main four or five, but she's still considered a member by some.

As for Ran and Yuugi, they're also damn old and look the part, as well, but are rarely included for any number of reasons.

For the record, most of the touhou cast is ancient...they ARE by and by large youkai, after all.

Clever reference!

True enough, it's just that others doesn't look exactly that way and are usually drawn by fanartist according to that perception. Case in point: Suwako, Tewi, Suika (?) and Aya.

Big Boobs Alliance minus Komachi (slacking off again) lol

Indeed, but many don't really *affect* it, which is generally considered the point. However, everyone in this picture does - Yuugi, Yuuka and Ran might not be "classic Old Maids" members, but that they are old and powerful and not ashamed to show it is obvious in their very characterizations, so they fit the "Elder gathering" feel.

For example, fact of the matter is that EVERYONE in UFO except Kogasa is at the very least a thousand years old, but other than Byaku and maybe Shou, they lack that certain... dunno, maturity, perhaps... that makes them register in the mind as truly ancient powerful beings.

That said, yes, Komachi should probably be here as well. She really fits the description. Perhaps she just couldn't be bothered to come pose for the photo?

I dunno, Komachi seems more like a 19-20 year old to me, with Shiki being 17. Not to mention Utusho looking 19 based on the vast majority of fanart. I used to comment on what age range the characters "seem" to be in. If there's anyone else who fits the Old Maiden's Alliance, it would be Mima and Shinki.

The Old Maids Alliance is about more than just being ancient.

It's a combination of age, appearance and personality.

You're not the only one to think so: post #686109

Let me just break this up.

There is no Old Maid's Alliance in canon.

That's simple: She goes with Mima and Shinki as the OG oldies from PC-98
