Ralf, Clark, and Athena can actually form a team in KOF 97, the team's name is called "Classic Hero Team" due to the trio debuting in classic arcade games.
Ralf and Clark debuted in Ikari Warriors while Athena debuted in Psycho Soldier.

Ralf actually debuted in SNK's shooting game T.N.K. III or T.A.N.K in Japan.
