Yeah. But sometimes the only best option is to hide what you truly are. Because there are people who will not accept people like you. Even worse when they are one of your closest people.

A life lived pretending to be someone else is no life at all.

That's their problem. It's best to be around people who are wiling to accept you for who you are, rather than be someone else's image of who you should be.
Edit: grammer

I think the ideal world is where we just all accept each other for who we r, rather than expecting everyone to be a certain way. As long as who u r isn't hurting anyone, then there's no issue, yet somehow some people will make up a reason just to hate to find fulfillment in their life. Like, even though I'm a heterosexual male, just because someone is gay or looks like a girl but has a dick, as long as I'm aware of that, I'll just make it clear I'm not into them that way if they were to develope feelings for me, just the same if someone wasn't attracted to me if I asked them out just the same. So then, this fear ur gonna accidently get with someone whose a boy underneath being a girl, is null in void, and should really stop being a reason to unnecessarily hate this group of people (people r people, that's all there is to it). I hope for everyone to find happiness in life, and for people to stop trying to suppress others from hiding who they r, but I feel we r still, as this current society is, not ready yet to live in this ideal world just yet u.u

Why is it so easy to summon transphobes?

Cute video :)

I don't care how they identify, men or women they should be taken with respect. But, if you pretend to be female and expect something else than only friendship, without being honest first about your intentions or the extra/modified equipment you have below, then we have a problem. I might not hit you, but don't be surprised if I run like a bear is chasing behind me.

The typical narrowminded and immature mentality that all relationships lead to sex and one should first announce the contents of their pants before anything else, as well as the only two possible responses one can come up with are violence or fleeing like their life is at stake. But they should be treated with respect, right? Because treating them like a monster is very respectful.

I removed the otoko no ko tag because this is very clearly not meant to be interpreted that way.

Today, I saw a transphobe's comment get downvoted. Danbooru has fallen. Millions must whine.

I'm not sure what people call transphobe here, but if either men or women go after me when I clearly state I'm not interested on them they would get the same answer. Am I obliged to do as she wishes only because she transformed? Am I a misogynist because I turn off the request of a woman I don't like in the same way I would get called transphobe because I turn off a trans request? Of course not, no one sane would say that.

It's not my business what you do with your genitals, I don't care anyway. However, it's my business what I do with mine, also what I expect from a relationship and the biological consequenses needed for that in a long term. If you want friendship or be addressed as a woman I respectfully accept your request. If you come with the intention to fool me and expect I'll change my mind after lies behind more lies about your shady intentions, not gonna happen. Sorry about that, I'm being honest and upfront from the beginning. Not my fault you did not.

I admit, I teared up a bit.

No, wait, I lied.

I teared up a lot.

rom_collector said: completely missing the point

No one said anything about you or anyone else not being allowed to say "No." at any point in the exchange. It's the same right anyone should be afforded regardless of why they've changed their mind.

However, what is very telling about how you really feel is that you say, "I might not hit you," the phrasing either suggesting it's not a guarantee, or suggesting that they should be glad you won't do something that shouldn't have been considered an option in the first place, least of all because you found out what was inside their pants wasn't what you expected to find.

And then follow it up with, "don't be surprised if I run like a bear is chasing behind me." as if you're so immature and intolerant that you can't even afford them the basic decency of a polite refusal and calm, rational exit, and would instead flee the situation as if you were in danger.

You can't talk about respecting them if you have so little respect for them you speak as if your reaction to finding out someone you believed was a girl had a penis would be to respond as if they were a rapist.

How difficult is it to agree that for a trans woman you must disclose what your born sex is if you're looking for relationships? To not do so would be rape by deception if the relationship ever turned sexual (or was attempted to if the partner saw what was between the legs first)

That's what rom_collector main gripe is. Please respect other people's boundaries and sexualities.

Not telling someone that you have/had a dick = rape
How retarded do you have to be to actually believe that?

"Please respect others people's boundaries and sexualities" ...by violating your own to people you don't even know. Bruh.

Here's a counter-proposal: just establish up front that you don't like trans people and filter yourself instead of leading everyone on.

Nope, no life is when you are buried 3 meters below the ground. Pretending is just shitty life, but still life, though in some countries the option with 3 meters below the ground may be better than such shitty life...

p.s. my example is about Russia officially banning LGBT-"propaganda" and gender transitioning and unofficially supporting anti-LGBT violence and murderers. And it's NOT the worst case on our planet. Pretending and concealment of your views, sexual orientation, beliefs or other things potentially can save you from harassment and repressions under oppressive regimes. Not every coming out is a good experience, some of them are bad or even terrible... and you should understand that it's ok for you to make a coming out in a dangerous environment because if it's not ok then such experience could lead to suicide, injuries, mental traumas, rape, violent death, slavery, cannibalism, tortures... id honestly rather die than live opressed

and im a straight white man living in america

im the definition of priviledged

so i have little persepctive from that life and i would still fight tooth and nail and win

which is why i will not hesitate to fight for the oppressed no matter how petty or important that fight is

its honestly both horrifying and hilarious at how many stupid people assume im one of them.just by my skin color and gender...

im privy to the conservatives' side

and lemme tell you, theyre incredibly weak, cowardly, violent, and outnumbered

thats why theyre obsessed with strength, bravery, safety, and numbers

cause they have none of those things

a truly strong, brave, safe, and loved person shows kindness and understanding

bigots know none of those things and they deserve none in return

no one is more brave than a publicly trans or gay person standing against millions of the hateful.

hell of a lot braver than the mobs of white straight fat white "men" hiding behind guns flinching at every black kid in a hoodie and movies that dare to appeal to little girls...

ive NEVER met a conservative willing to stand against me on their own once they find out im a liberal. not one. after they find out im not one of their horde, they crawl bavk into their hole. no debate. no humanity. no common decency. just fear and hate. hateful names and cowardice from the shadows. at work. out in the real world. online. even from my family. doesnt matter. ive long gotten over it cause frankly my life is better without them.

conservatives are hiding from trans people, like they hide from me. not the other way around. and trans people wont have to hide from anyone ever again very soon.

its also quite telling that this voting system, literally a straight up democracy, is an anathema to you and your politics...

does it make you uncomfortable to know that, when allowed, without any arbitary rules or rigging, that democracy favors liberal views and ideas?

where's the propaganda? peoples' opinions? does calling them propaganda give your mind the reason it needs to decry it's lack of opression and silencing?

lemme tell you. mislabelling free speech as propaganda is an insanely weak, old, and trite conseravtive and fascist tactic. that only the stup!d use. it frankly isnt effective on anyone even halfway intellegent or kind and turns away the fence sitters in whatever audience is relevant. like every other tactic conservatives use...

youre just pissed off that most people disagree with your hatred. get used to that. and what pisses you off more is that you dont have the power to punish and oppress us. and with the way younger people are talking and voting and how fast "people" that "think" like you are dying off...

you're gonna have to get used to that too.

Quit spamming, would you?

Geez, this comment section's turning into a warzone. I know I'll get downvoted to oblivion for this, but these conservative clowns CLEARY shouldn't be casting stones cause they are FULL of sin. Currently it's we should encourage pregnant schoolgirls and we should fight the abortions... Yeah, those people who downvoted my past comment didn't really understand why 3 meters below the ground is a better option sometimes... But if you like it feel free to migrate to Russia, I even insist on it, it's better to not pollute the planet with more dystopias.

I can understand your concern for the latter, given that you are in all likelihood pro-abortion and think that it's a human right.

But let's just move past the mutual disdain for a moment, because I am genuienly confused about what you think is wrong for the former one. Women and girls who get pregnant ARE at a disadvantaged positions in many ways, whether it's academic performance, financial troubles, mental burden, etc. Bonus points if you get dumped by your boyfriend or get shunned by your family or society.

At the very least, government funding helps ease the financial burden part and makes life easier. I think it's quite a noble endeavor.

Unless you are inferring that they are trying to encourage pregnancy before adulthood/marriage/graduation, which really doesn't sound like the case to me. This payment is akin to drug rehabilitation, they help you to fix yourself up after you messed up, not encourage you to mess yourself up because you can still better repeair yourself.

Even in the words of the government official of the link you sent me:
"Nina Ostanina, the head of the state Duma's Committee on Family Protection, told Russian outlet Gazeta: "There is no need to encourage children to become parents at school. An educated parent will give their child dozens of times more, a dropout is unlikely to be able to give as much in education, [and] upbringing to their child as a parent who has received a full school and higher education."

Besides, why would a traditionalist country like Russia encourage pregnancy before marriage anyway? It's either they are narrow-minded and don't accept deviances, or they encourage actions that break from the norm, good or bad, they can't be both. Pick your narrative.

Gargoyleno said:

Russia has serious demographic problems. The problem is that instead of solving structural problems (in fact, they are deepening them. Economy, inequality, social services, foreign policy, immigration...) officials are using methods of direct stimulation. And their “traditions” exist only when it is personally beneficial to officials. For example, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow sent an appeal to the authors of the draft laws banning the propaganda of child-free, calling on them to make amendments to the documents that would exempt monks and nuns from their application (lawmakers just didn't think about it :), and there are also things like this and these. My favourite is Sultan Khamzayev's and Tatyana Butskaya's initiatives. One shouldn't think about Russian official politics in terms of left/right, there are no left or right. It's more about idiots/thieves/sycophants/hypocrites.

This comment section got bad lots of arguing
