It's Shikinami so please tag it as such when you see Asuka in this outfit.

Regardless of how her name is in the Rebuild, more people know her by her last name of Souryuu, instead of Shikinami, as some people either don't follow the Rebuild, or, myself included, hate the idea of Gainex renaming a character who's had the same running name for 15 years, all on a whim.

It's not about what last name people refer Asuka as, it's about Asuka in this particular outfit which is not from the original series but instead the Rebuild movie.
All I'm pointing out geez.

yeah, Xephina is right.

I haven't gotten around to watching Rebuild of EVA yet, so Xephina's info is news to me.

Not just her appearance is different, either. She has less emotional baggage.

Thus spake Zarathustra

This is all stupid. I don't give a shit what her name currently is, who the hell is going to search for either one or the other. It should be one tag (Shikinami/Souryuu Asuka Langley) so then when I look for Asuka I know I'm getting all the pics.

The Shikinami Asuka Langley tag implicates the Souryuu Asuka Langley tag, thus all images of her can be found under the Souryuu Asuka Langley tag, so you have no worries or a need to complain about being unable to find all her images using just one tag.

Too bad, I like characters to be... characters.
