    今日2月23日は風呂敷の日らしいです

[4koma] Marisa as a Firm Believer in the Old Time Classics 4-Panels

Seems like today, Feb 23, is furoshiki day.

2-23 is goroawase for "tsutsumi", lit. "wrapping".

From what I've seen this just happens sometimes. People forget or simply don't want to trasnlate and that's okay. It will get translated eventually, and it's not like there's some plot to be lost by this being untranslated, since none of the pages are connected to each other.

I know, I just feel like I'm missing a good joke just because of a language barrier.

First get two pieces of furoshiki. Use one as a shoulder strap by tying it at these three points...
And there you have it, a furoshiki rucksack! It's also the stereotypical cloth used by (Japanese) thieves to wrap up their loot. And to wrap around their faces as a makeshift mask. Culturally, it's equivalent to the domino mask + $ money bag combo seen in the West.
You're a dab hand at this, eh? As expected from the cat burglar.
    Naaaah, I wasn't praising you.

I wonder how are we going to carry all this stuff.

I'll lend you my furoshiki wrapping cloth. Literally "bath spread'. It's a piece of cloth traditionally (dating back to the Edo period) used to wrap up clothes while taking baths at public baths, but currently it's mostly only used for wrapping gifts and bento lunchboxes (where it also doubles as a table mat). Some environmental-conscious people do use them as a substitute for plastic bags though.
