Lol. I mean, you're free to like what you want. I for one like Nelson, Nagato and Sara more in Kancolle (I actually love Warspite's personality in AL more) but that doesn't stop me from still enjoying both. Still, I kinda get where you're coming from. I doubt I'll be able to imagine a Kancolle version of Enterprise or Cleveland being better than the AL one considering how they treated Gambier Bay. But maybe that's just me.

I will admit that AL is more open with their fan-service/lewd. But that doesn't mean KC is innocent either. Most KC damaged arts are definitely NSFW and some are also more lewder than AL. DD damaged art with her pantsu showing is something. So we can enjoy both games, let not just be hypocrites.

I'm the opposite. KC Italian Navy never really grabbed me. They just kinda felt like archetypes and historical in jokes.
I follow the fanart communities for both games but I do admit slight bias for AL purely because it was easier for me to access so I have a more personal connection to it. I have my favorites from both games and honestly they're probably pretty close to half and half.
Not saying these will be any deeper of course. But I've found that AL gives enough wiggle room to interpret characters a little more broadly, whether that is laziness or not is up to the observer I suppose. We also don't know anything about personalities aside from body language either. And while I'll be the first to roll my eyes when the line writers are lazy, I do admit some of the characters are surprisingly rich in personality.
Headcanon isn't everyones thing of course, but it's something I personally enjoy and I'm willing to see what this set brings to the table before making judgement. Maybe I'm just looking too deeply for meaning where there is none.

I think you got why I love the kancolle Italian Navy, that "family feeling" and while some of the art made for them defies gravity in the breasts department it usually doesn't. And i guess why I said what I did was that I wanted more........ I wanted the Kancolle Italian navy to be blown out of the freaking water and made to look inferior to the Azur lane one. Cause while I do love the Kancolle Italians you can always have better, and I guess Azur lane still has the opportunity to do that with Roma when she drops in this game. Just..... no red-yellow eyes please.... Azur lane Italians have that in spades now and i really don't like those eye colors.........
I think Kancolle designs are cute but I'm definitely biased. I like some Azur Lanes, especially the Takaos. But aside from them I don't like that many even though I think they are appealing. I just think Kancolle ones tend to have more attention to detail, especially when it comes to references.

to answer your question.....probably as "bland" because we would be use to the horniness (is that a word?) of AL...…..probably....or maybe we would enjoy the ,for lack of a better term, comfy feeling they give off as a whole compared to what is primarily a fetishist paradise. Granted most people of the weeb persuasion would as a result probably prefer the horny ones anyways but as they say to each there own.
