... And maybe she's actually just as attracted to Murakumo as she is to M-Toku. Even if not, she'd still be immensely grateful to the destroyer for being the reason he became the Super-M Admiral that he is today instead of his much less charmingly masochistic past self.

The real question is, is he chewing his way up to Murkumo, and is Fuso waiting to be next?

He is also deliberately denying himself the glorious Fusou lap pillow he would get if he were to fail and fall. A true M through and through.
