Today, we are going to do a maintenance check on our microphones. And I know people get a bit nervous when microphones touch, but Akashi's taking care of the check up today, so just treat it as routine. All you have to do is turn your head and cough, although some people like to say 'testing 123'. Don't worry about comparing the specs of your microphones. Just mind your own device. We all have different sensitivities and SPL handling capabilities. There's no need to be embarrassed just because you have the clip on PTT and the guy next to you invested in the Azden boom microphone. Remember, it isn't about the length, but the application of use, and if you have short range, then make it up with convenience. When you are running your mike through your favorite ships intercom I doubt she will notice the difference. No point in being a superstar if you are too bulky to get any regular use.
