And so begins “Hoppo's Naval Base Adventures.” This is the first of five pages, and will close out the third and final (as of now) Chapter of the Abyssal Naval Base series. Given all the Kancolle art that Minarai posts on his pixiv, it's not impossible to assume he'll release more KC-related material.
Is it just me, or is Seaport-hime talking a bit like Wo?
Only in translation. Her use of the "wo" particle in Japanese is grammatically standard (何て事を). I suppose it can be tricky to pick out nonstandard versus standard usage when all the kana are katakana. Even Hoppo's use of it isn't necessarily a pun.
Something better than that since these were before the anime was out
but from their point of view, the good guys all ended dying at the end. that would flip the entire anime around, with Wo class as MC and no plot armor at all.

An MC who died off-screen, I might add. Sure to cause instant-RAEG.
The title of this page is most likely a reference to the movie "The Eternal Zero (永遠のゼロ)", which was a 2014 blockbuster success. Details about the film can be found on Wikipedia and elsewhere.
