This doesn't make what is said in a canonical work "just one of those fandom things", as you called it. Something with a canon source is by definition "not fanon".
And Remilia being Dracula's relative is known to not be true, while Yukari's hibernation has a source (herself) not contraddicted by anything else. You CAN not believe it (for whatever reason you might have, is not like she's trying to look better like Remilia with Dracula), but don't claim that *everything* without a clear visual proof is fanon.
