Arttrober 2026 - Slan, Berserk

Spent two friggin days on and off painting this one.
Sketched out a few thumbnails first, and somehow the last one ended up working the best compositionally. Probably the hardest part was getting those translucent hair/tendrils to feel right without making everything too messy. Took quite a bit of trial and error, but I’m pretty happy with where it ended up.

And since AI comes up quite a bit these days, I'd like to clarify that the sketching and painting here were done by me from scratch, brushstroke by brushstroke.

Took longer than I expected, but finally done 😮‍💨
