(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ VAMPIRE REI…! VAMPIRE REI…! … … … V A M P I R E I !!!

Yes, this is the premise of this Neon Genesis Evangelion fanart.

I made it for a contest / challenge at deviantART (it is yet to be rated at the time of writing), the theme: Turning an existing anime character you like into a Halloween monster.
And because I was indecisive with the background colour and lighting style, unsure which I should pick and whether there should be blood or no blood at her fangs, you get a whole whopping 12 variants!
Choose the one you like!
There is plenty of choice for everyone! ( ˘▽˘)っ
One could think they make them in bulk… oh… wait… nevermind.

I don't think this mass production is canon to the series or real life though…
…or that's the weird type of entry to a collective fanta-sea we will have to go through in our weird timeline.
If yes: Tang it, I guess… ┐(´ー｀)┌

(Those puns needed to get out.)

Jokes aside, I should have made them in a phone aspect ratio, then people could use them as wallpapers without hassle. Sorry about this!

It is also a slight detour from my usual artstyle, but everybody needs to experiment now and then, right?
I worked mostly on just one layer, and tried a workflow mostly without lines, which is more or less unusual for me. Despite citing the Evangelion style, I let some of my own flow into it.
It was an interesting experience! I might do that again sometime! And all of this took me less than 2 hours too (yeah, I'm a little proud of that)! d(>_・ )

Anyway… many words, many words…

Here the obligatory disclaimer and crediting to come to an end:
The character design is by Sadamoto Yoshiyuki, and the Evangelion franchise she belongs to created by Anno Hideaki, Studio Gainax and Studio Khara. I claim no ownership over their intellectual property, this is merely a work of noncommercial fan art taking the base design and transforming it into something else.
The vision, execution and and composition of the artwork were done entirely by me in GIMP 2.10 on Xubuntu.

Enjoy the VampiREIs – and don't let any of them bite you…
Else…:

Other than that: Have a good time and Happy Halloween!!
