I have done this as well, though not quite so.... aggressively...
If an unskippable ad shows up anywhere I will avoid looking (and listening, if I can help it) by either doing something else until I feel that it may be done, or I shall cover the screen except for a small area that might allow me to see that the add is over.
I shall not be subjected to your conditioning, foul corporations and celebrities!
