Sadly yes, especially since these type of people tend to co-opt things like this to further their own beliefs rather than making stories better or making fanfiction for the love of the series.

"Magic isn't real," how else do you call electricity? Or gravity?

Fine, then there are only two genders—the others don’t exist, just like magic.

The political topic is JK Rowling hate, burning her books, all because she has a political opinion which differs from the artist's.

I mean, I don't wanna be that guy, but who burnt a lot of books back then, before the big Second Humbug?

JK Rowling isn't even mentioned in this picture, let alone her political opinions. At best, it's an anti-Harry Potter image.

She technically is because her name is visible on the book, but the detail that's actually important is the transgender flag pin.

A transgender flag pin is not a statement of political opinion, the image'd have to actually say something about trans rights in order for it to be expressing a political opinion. Otherwise it's just a trans character being present. All the text in the image is just shitting on "chudcels" for having waifus or engaging with escapist fiction.

I'll go a bit further and say it's just a troll post, and a fairly successful one at that seeing how much attention it got.

Agreed. I mean, they used a Harry Potter character to criticize Harry Potter, I highly doubt it's not, at the very least, tongue-in-cheek.

And how many people do you think would wear that pin that don't support trans rights? How many trans people on the right would wear that pin unironically? Like it or not, trans imagery is highly politicized right now.

Yes, it's obviously a troll post, so why assume the transgender pin is just a coincidence? Sure, you could say it's just directed at the chuds and not at Rowling, but I doubt any of the trans stuff would even be in the equation if it weren't for her statements. If it really is just a coincidence, then it's extremely tone-deaf since she's been the main focus of this controversy for over five years now.

Imagine reacting this strongly to a transgender pin

My point is that none of this is in the image itself, and it's certainly not the focus of the image, so there's no reason it should be the primary focus of discussion. I don't really agree that the inclusion of the pin by itself means the IMAGE is expressing support of trans rights. I am sure the author does, but in the image itself, it's just there and isn't being commented on. And a trans flag pin only says "this character is trans". Which I do not see as political anymore than I would see an image of two men kissing as political.

I would have to check out the artist's page to see what their views are to confirm whatever intent they actually had, but then that would be context that isn't being given by the image itself.

I didn't say any of that. Your original argument was that Rowling's views weren't mentioned. I'm saying they're indirectly mentioned through the pin. Just as some pro-trans people may avoid the series because of her views (and the groups she chooses to finance), some anti-trans people may support her series in part because they agree with her views. That's who the pin is aimed at. It's based on the assumption that Harry Potter fans are transphobes that would freak out at anything trans-related being mixed in.

It doesn't matter what the artist's views actually are. It's a troll post. The pin is part of the trolling, and based on the comments above, it was obviously effective.

And a trans flag pin only says "this character is trans".

It doesn't even say that. It's ambiguous whether the character is being portrayed as trans or just a trans ally. Either one would be sufficient to piss off the intended audience.

Which I do not see as political anymore than I would see an image of two men kissing as political.

That's great and all, but when a significant number on one side think transness isn't real, that they're just mentally ill at best or perverts at worst, even a simple acknowledgement of their existence is political. It shouldn't be, but that's just how it is right now.
