I was just gazing at the autumn colors in the courtyard, trying to think of a verse that might do the scene justice.
But the moment I heard your footsteps, inspiration came all at once.
"Autumn waters mirror an old friend's gaze. Worn pages rest where crimson maples blaze." Well? What do you think of those two lines?
