As part of a campaign to thank everyone for their patronage of FSM, I decided to try drawing some face graphics compatible with FSM assets. I'm actually drawing them in a size that should work for XP as well, and creating different expressions by tweaking the pixel art. I don't often get the chance to draw face graphics, so I thought I'd give it a go, bit by bit. Though, covering every single character would probably be impossible.

I found Takashi Saito's new book, "Reading the Highlights: The Beautiful Japanese", quite interesting. It really gives you food for thought. The structure makes it an easy read, you can pick it up and read from anywhere, so I think I'll revisit it whenever I have some spare time. It would be great if they released a paperback edition, though.（ノ▽｀）

I messed up on this character by adding too much shading where the hair falls across the face. I rarely draw faces, so I've forgotten a lot of the basics... The proportions are strangely off, too, and I haven't managed to fix them.
