Genderbent Snape that actually loved James is... kind of a very funny idea.
I'll get downvoted for that and I deserve it, but I still think Trent Reznor would make a better Snape than Alan Rickman. Sorry, but not sorry!

He'd definitely look closer to his book version, but him being american and Rowling insisting on Rickman as Snape would never let it happen. Plus I'm not sure about his acting skills since he's a musician and a singer-songwriter, not an actor.

You're entirely right, and redubbing him would be ridiculous, but I still think the same thing every bloody time I see him anywhere.
