The dress and hair made me think of 'Scarlet El Vandimion' from 'May I Ask for One Final Thing?'

I was under the impression that high heels were invented for horseback riding. They're supposed to lock your feet in the stirrup. Higher heels for fashion, outside of platform shoes, came later.
