Today, I achieved one of my biggest dreams since I was a kid.
I remember watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX in middle school. Despite being a huge Yu-Gi-Oh! enthusiast since I was 5 or 6 years old, GX impacted me the most. Probably because of Duel Academy, which came out at the perfect time in my life, while I was also going through my own school years. I also loved the amazing themed decks, such as Elemental HEROes, Cyber Dragons, Crystal Beasts, and so on.
As for cosplay, I originally wanted to try it because I always saw people having so much fun doing it. I chose Jaden at first because we share the same height and similar body proportions, but then I thought, “Why not go all the way?” So I decided to cosplay the Supreme King instead, with that amazing armor and all the aura he projects just by standing there.
Today, I truly realized the pain of wearing armor for an entire day 😅.
Just wearing the helmet for 15 minutes had me sweating like crazy.
The pictures were taken this weekend at an event called “La Mole,” which is held twice a year in Mexico City.
I had to take advantage of the cosplay, so I also had a professional photoshoot at one of the photography booths invited to the event.
I didn’t even have a proper Instagram account, but I just created one to upload the professional photos in case you might be interested in seeing them (alexlop612).
