oh Mio name is silly. Nia's name is literally just a pun of Nya the japanese onomatopoeia for a Cat's meow. Guess what Mio is, its Meow lol. The whole family is full of puns naming wise.

Mio's name is literally one letter short from "Miao" though.

Which is just another way to say "Meow".
