The people down voting this are cowards. This ain't any different from most other plump, chubby, or fat anime girl art. Doto still looks cute in this. This literally isn't any different from a Bready or Elegg from Nikke fanart, especially the ones that chubbify them even more than they already are in canon.

I'm pretty sure the downvotes are more likely because of the overall lack of quality rather than the subject matter.
There is so much other art of comparable quality on this site that doesn't have this many downvotes.
Exactly. Sketchy art is dime a dozen on this site. As well as fat women art, as I mentioned. There's literally nothing about this that makes it anymore noteworthy compared to other fat lady or sketch art, many of which have positive scores. Just a bunch of haters.

I think you should be more concerned about the fact that 21 Approvers skipped over this one and two marked it as poor quality. And personally, I think their assessment is justified. I don't know their specific reasoning, but Opera's face and the way Meisho Doto's head lines up with her hair are the biggest things that stick out for me.
This image doesn't support your argument. It is significantly more polished compared to the sketch and may actually have a chance of getting approved. At the very least, it probably wouldn't be marked as poor quality.

Aside from the fact this doesn't look any different compared to the thousands of other sketches which have been approved (and have positive upvote scores), the only other notable thing is that Doto is fat in this. There's no real reason for this image to have so many negative downvotes compared to the other many examples that have been uploaded. It's not like this is just some childish scribbles or terribly proportioned like you'd see on early years DeviantArt.
