Come closer, let me hear your woes

Besimi, a hagfish
He stores them in little glass eggs, varying in color and pattern.. They shrink as the feelings fade, until they’re like little gems. The thoughts and feelings expressed form different kinds of patterns in the glass, from which he can read your true feelings and give advice.
The only payment he takes is the glass eggs, usually placed into jewelry or adorning objects. He might secretly have his own in there too, though they always end up black as he can’t read himself.
