I've got a small question about the provenance of this post. Would it be possible to have a few extra info about the source of this image, like the original file name prior to upload/where you may have found it even if it's not the primary source? If you or someone else can't, it's fine. I hope you don't mind the ping. I just feel like you are my best bet. @deliriumfleur
What I can say is that, I'm pretty sure I know exactly who the artist is, unfortunately I can't fully back it up beside "trust me bro". While his Pixiv and Twitter have been dead since 2022, he has occasionally posted on 4chan as an anonymous drawfag in their drawing request thread. A handful of his artworks are on Danbooru tagged under his public handle, the couple others are attributed to drawfag or only have artist request. Most of his stuff are on other boorus/drawfag archival imageboards. Unfortunately he has kind of disappeared since last year, even over there, no trace of him left, just ghost accounts and unattributed drawings.
The earliest archived copy I could find on warosu.org dates back to Oct. 8 2023, unfortunately it's not the primary source, replies weren't helping either. I tried to crawl back their drawthread as far back as Nov. 1 2022 but it seems like their archive doesn't go any further when I checked Warosu, I've yet to fully search archive.palanq.win, didn't have the time. Also, I probably missed it, I might try again a second time. One thing which really complicate things is that he and other upload on catbox, with some of his primary sources now dead, or the fact that he just dumps a link and leave. No combinations of searching for Kaf, Rim, Isekaijoucho, x-ray, glasses, etc. got me what I was looking for. It's not archived anywhere else drawthread related either (that I know of).
From what I remember, he assumed people wouldn't recognize his art and wouldn't be able to find his past stuff (doesn't work on someone who's been following you since you posted your first fanart on your main though), not exactly sure what his exact stance is on people tagging his main here. I think on Danbooru's side, they do want me to do it, so I might tag him later unless someone here tells me not to.
What I will do though for now is link his other anonymous artworks: post #6297239, post #6975166, post #10025222 and post #10025223 (the first I won't be able to edit, need gold, last 2 deleted). He's a lot more recognizable with two dozens more artworks to compare against across his range of quick sketch to finished drawings, please have faith in me for now.

One commenter on one of the reposts said, "i myself only got it from here so can't help you, I tried image search as well but didn't find anything" I'm willing to guess that this was a random drawing he decided to dump without thinking to much of it. The file name of the original post uploaded by the anonymous user is 2df7d1c5bb59dd, but it is saved as 1696753485512.jpeg. This can be converted to a readable timestamp, which, in this case, is Sun Oct 08 2023 08:24:45 GMT+0000

No worries about the late reply, nobody's in a rush, we're just here to help in our free time. It seems like you got it at the same place I managed to crawl back to, couldn't find any further leads.
I went ahead and doxxed identified our artist under his main alias. I also identified him for the other posts he drew anonymously and which are on Danbooru (except the one marked shota since I can't edit it without gold or higher, if someone could do it for me, it would be great). I also corrected the sources (they're technically primary archived source, not third-party source, and also linked to the original posts rather than another imageboard (had to also add bad id to one which got deleted, welp). Also added his Pixiv to his wiki. Maybe I should try appealing them now that they have better sources, assuming they even pass the minimum quality standard, I feel like the Aki Rosenthal/post #10025223 one could. I should also dump my own stash somewhere for posterity, even if it's not on Danbooru.
On a side-note, I'm mildlyyyy annoyed that he dipped from the public internet. My good sir sssangan had some gucci very spicy kinky things to share in addition to top notch drawings from virtual youtuber I'm a really big fan of like Hachi. If you managed to surface one Kamitsubaki Studio fanart, surely there are more that must have been done and may have been lost to the depth of the internet/his hard drive. I hate that he's gone. So much potential, so many missed artworks. You know, just a little miffed.
