Everyone's speaking in the Tsugaru dialect. 'Hick of hicks' Japanese dialect, with drawls and merged/unclear consonants and vowels everywhere.
Basically a whole bunch of K-verbs/nouns/adjectives + ない/ね (or anything with a k/g in the middle + nai or ne) can be shortened to け(ぇ)ね(ぇ) in this dialect.
First kene: "It's no problem." (構わない) Second kene: "I can't eat that!" (食べられない) (食う starts with a k-sound) Third kene: "Oh no..."(嫌ね) (嫌い starts with a k-sound) Fourth kene: "No(t going to give you any)" (あげない)
For Americans, this will be the equivalent of an Appalachian dialect (the hick hillbilly 'Southern' accent).
For our Scandivanian friends, Danish, probably. With a mouthful of extra-thick pølse.
'K, nay, 'k, nay.
