The weird thing was I was actually thinking "what if the images she got in trouble for were actually worse and she's just using lolicon as a smokescreen?" yesterday. But I'm still skeptical since it would make it even more inconsistent with what was being said about British law.
Also, the claim about Stephanie from LazyTown seems to be a bit of a stretch to me. I mean, it is true she was played by two minors, but are the people drawing porn of the character really thinking about that? I doubt they're trying to portray the actresses in any way, especially with the loli stuff.
This has become more infuriating for the UK government, I mean if its the possession of CP, sure she deserved to be locked up, but why on earth does the government has to say that she got arrested because of drawings.

The "it's just a fictional character" defense does not apply to characters portrayed by real-life minors. It's not the same as an adult portraying a minor. People who have drawn pornography of characters played by real-life children would have had to look at the child actor for reference, regardless of whether it's a drawing. Stephanie has only every been played by child actors in the TV show. "well there's an animated version, so how can we say it's based of a kid" They found an actual minor sexually appealing.
Mimi has bookmarked images that fetishize being a pedophile. Art of babies, dialogue confirming pedophilia, calling the man in the art a pedophile and some outright using the word "child porn". Literally one of their page one bookmarks it's art of Kei from Blue Archive being pregnant looking down to an adult man kissing her pregnant belly that has the phrase "child porn" underlined telling the adult man what he has done is "total child sexual abuse" with "Pedophile is superior" in the bottom left corner. This isn't regular lolicon art, the rest of this person's artworks have some weird realistic anatomy and often reference child pornography and child sexual abuse as a concept and how these are children that haven't even started menstruation yet. This shit is downright vile.
