At schools in my place, some students fill the librarian roles.

dean exia is right. Certain schools will allow students to have a half (or full) school year in one of their classes as a library assistant/helper. The time spent there counts as community service hours. I somehow ended up with said class and it wasn't bad.

Schools in Japan allow students to be librarian as club's activities.

I know some student librarians in the school I was in who look just like that, except for the purple hair.

That's quite easy.
First I'll start to regularly visit the library check out a book or two ever now and then. Note her that she's my classmate and chat with her. She'll start to think of me as an annoyance. At first she wouldn't care but with time she'll start to crack and open up. Talk about books with her. Help her out in her duties. Help her in times of conflict and stand up for her. Slowly she'll recognize what she truly feels and it'll be a HAPPY END.
