Example character would be kagamine len in many cases where he's not outright depicted as pre pubescent.
without getting into whether a twink tag would be useful or not (i'm tempted to say bishounen covers the use case pretty fine), i have my doubts about if twinks are analogous to petite, at least in the way it's used here on danbooru, which is to say "a cough and a sneeze away from loli." when i think of a twink, the first character my mind goes to is perhaps BotW link.
a tag for very young-looking men might be warranted as well, but i'm not sure if "twink" is the right vernacular for the job.

I don’t think height is a requirement. I’ve seen quite a few men over 180 cm described using that word.
The gay section of Pornhub has results for the search term "petite," so perhaps we could just call this tag "petite_male"?

I think petite_male would be better. Twink is more about being skinny and hairless, it'd apply to 99% of bishounen.

Hmmm should I just start using this tag or do you think an example fav group and BUR are absolutely necessary? This one has a clear use case.
This seems like a good case to get a favgroup of a few hundred posts going and then propose creating the tag via a BUR.

BUR #68815 has been rejected.

I am bad at searching for guys due to a strong aversion to yaoi, so not sure if this is the best favgroup.

Edit: There's also short male, but I guess not every petite male is short enough for short male, so I think it makes sense to just tag those separately.

Some are hard to tell, with characters of that apparent age, it's nice to have reference objects to see if they are like under 5'6 or so. Which is why this tag is easier to do in cases with height difference, unless the character is in the young teen but not shots category.
Examples with ref objects, make it clear the guy is kinda small.

This reminds me of how people were erroneously using otoko_no_ko before it was renamed back to trap. People want a tag for "Male_focus I won't feel gay for looking at." But it's a very subjective concept.

Not all, if the guy is clearly tall and broad shouldered, then taller_female_shorter_male would not mean petite male. In most cases yeah a taller girl would probably mean petite guy just because most girls aren't drawn to be freakishly tall. But it doesn't apply to all.

I think I would leave heavily bearded, old, dwarve race and similar men out at minimum. Petite generally applies to cuter looking people as well, so a rugged grizzled looking small guy doesn't really fit.

V taper and light muscles don't rule it out to me. Only if they look well defined / jacked I guess. For midoriya I added him because he was coming across as a bit cute but yeah maybe he's too jacked and I should remove him.

Despite the post count, that's pretty undertagged, but I wonder if the concept of bishies are less well known in general in recent years. I garden it pretty often.
