Yani Neko lore also states that, most of the cat girls & cat people we saw are actually mixed offsprings with humans, and only the indigenous catfolk tribesmen in the woods are actual pure un-mixed cat people. and in previous history, catfolks had multiple conflicts with humans. so yeah, the Puma sisters could have been actual historical warriors.
